Chinese New Year Meal
Many families in China survive by having only rice and salt. A $15 gift will let a student and his parents attend Annual Chinese New Year banquet, receive a small gift and transportation cost to the banquet. The traditional Chinese New Year starts on 2/14/10.

Teachers’ Stipends
Many rural schools in China are staffed with substitute teachers who earn only $50 a month. A $20 gift will
help to supplement a teacher’s monthly salary and reduce teacher turn over.

Agape Way employs full-time field workers in China visiting the schools and students, undertaking various projects and sharing God’s love. With $200 per month, you can support one worker in China.

One-to-one Sponsorship
Students living in extreme poverty in rural China cannot afford schooling and have to drop out. The cost of sponsorship per month is $30 for elementary students, $45 for middle school students and $60 for high school students. Sponsors will receive regular updates and can influence the student directly.

Hearing Aids
Xiaodong, a hearing- impaired young Chinese boy, was enrolled in a class for the deaf and mute. With the purchase of a hearing aid, he can now hear and is learning to listen and speak. His life is forever changed. With $300, the AEA hearing aids project can have a student tested and fitted with a hearing aid.

Gift of Shelter
Many earthquake victim families in remote mountainous areas still live in tents 18 months after the big earthquake, because they are too poor to build houses and desperately need help. A group of Christian builders are working very hard to build earthquake- proof houses for the families. It costs $7,250 ($6,500 for materials, and $750 for labors). The new homes will utilize advanced earthquake-proof building materials (light steel) and technology and it takes only 45 days to build a light-steel frame home.
