What do you want? God or Gifts from God? Choose only one! The fact is: many Christians today choose gifts of God, instead of God. Which one do you choose?
Some “Christian Preachers” say: Tomorrow, May 21, 2011, is the Judgment Day. The time as we know it will end in one day.
Do they believe it? I think they DO. They gave up their jobs, their possessions, even their families in order to share the “gospel” with as many people as they can. They love people for sure. At least they think so. But do they love God? I am not sure about that.
Many do not believe them. Among those who do not believe them are:
- Christians who say human beings cannot know the day because Jesus said so;
- Christians who believe there will be no judgment day; God loves human beings so much, everyone will be saved; How can a loving God gives human beings eternal punishments?
- Atheists who claim there is no God. They say Doomsday tale is an example how religion is bad to humans. We humanbeings should grow up to eliminate all the religions, except their atheism;
- Some other people are not sure if they believe the “news” or not. They are anxiously waiting for the day to come and pass. After May 21, 2011, they will breath a sigh of relief, “Thank God that I did not believe in God.”
You may ask me, “Do you believe them?” Let me tell you: I do not care when the Judgment Day comes. If you focus on God, you do not need to worry or wait for the Last Day. Instead, you may focus on today, this moment. If the Last Day is tomorrow, I thank God for His grace to save me and I will glorify his name in Heaven. If the Last Day is not tomorrow, then I thank God for giving me more opportunities to serve him and glorify his name on earth.
Some people do not believe the Last Day. How do they know? Because they believe so.
Some people believe certain day is the Last Day. How do they know? Because they believe so.
Why do people care so much about the Last Day? Because they focus on themselves so much, they simply cannot escape the bondage of the self-centeredness. Many evangelical preachers preach a human-centered “gospel”, believing in Jesus so that you can go to Heaven. This human-centered “gospel” has filled Christian churches today with many self-centered adult babes.
A life without God is a waste. A life of self-centeredness is miserable. Dear friend, uplift your head, look up to God. He will give you strength to live a life to glorify his name beyond tomorrow.
Some persons might wonder when the Last Day is. But the key question is: How can each of us face the Last Day?
Jesus Christ said, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'” (Matthew 7:21-23) some persons may be surprised on the Last Day.
Heaven is just a gift from God, a privilege to be with Him. If we have a good relationship with Him, He is very glad to have us being with him. Even on earth, he has his spirit to live within his children. When God is with us, we are in Heaven, no matter where we are, that is why Jesus said: the Kingdom of God within you. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, is also the passport of our identity with the Kingdom of God. It is from the Holy Spirit Jesus knows spiritual Christians. “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.” (Romans 8:16)
The Bible says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:17-19)
Are you reconciled to God? If you are reconciled with God, you are his children. You do not need to waste your life worrying about when the Last Day is. Instead, you can live a life to glorify the name of God.
If you are not reconciled to God, I hope that you are wise enough to be humble before God. Repent your sins. Ask for his mercy. He will forgive your sins and gives the Holy Spirit to you. Christian are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. "We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20)
