Go Agape Way
Agape Appeal - Invest in Transforming Lives

Xin’s parents died while he was in Elementary School. He and his younger brother had to live with his grandma in a rural village. The grandma barely had enough to feed the boys and they lived in a shack. Fang(pictured right) a 11-year-old fifth grader and is living with her uncle and grandparents who could barely making ends meet.  Although each day she has to walk 6 miles eachway to go to school, she is very happy to go to school and is concerned that she may have to drop off as her uncle could not offord her school fees and lunches.  Thanks to the support of Agape Way donors, Xin was able to finish elementary school, middle school and high school. Now he is a junior in a university, majoring in Chemical Engineering.  Currently, Agape Way is looking for a sponsor for Fang.

Agape Way ministry reaches people in a big spectrum of life: from those at the bottom of the Chinese society to the elites and leaders in China and US. In the past 10 years, supporters of Agape Way have invested in the lives of over 3000 students like Xin and have helped to transform lives. Many of the students are now in college, graduate schools, or studying abroad and in the work force. Through Agape Cultural Exchange program, Christians have the opportunities to establish friendships and share their Christian faith through English teaching, business seminars and other activities. Agape Way has made a difference in China because of God’s mercy and the support of individuals like you who have made Agape Way ministries possible. During this financial crisis, many people have suffered loss in investments. But in Agape Way, we see immeasurable profits for the investments of our supporters. For the past 10 years, through Agape Way hundreds of supporters have invested the lives of over 3000 children and teachers.

One of Agape Way’s faithful supporters told us recently, “Our contribution to Agape Way is the best investment we have done.” Would you like to invest in a child like Fang as many of them are waiting? Please contact Agape Way today to sponsor a child to touch his/her life for eternity. Like many other organizations, the end of year contribution to Agape Way was down. We are launching a $50,000 campaign to raise enough support for 800 children. If God moves your heart partner with Agape Way, please send your check to:

Agape Way 2009 Projects
- Six Investment Options

Agape Way serves a channel for Christians to share the love of God and the salvation of Jesus Christ with Chinese people. Through education assistance and cultural exchange programs, Agape Way has touched people’s hearts and brought hope to children, families, schools and communities in dire economical and spiritual conditions. Agape Way 2009 projects include:

Agape Scholarships 博爱助学金

Many students in rural areas in western China need financial help with their basic education. Agape Scholarship gives these impoverished children opportunity, love and hope. In 2008, Agape Scholarship helped more than 1000 students, from $40 to $200 each student, according to specific needs of each student.
Suggested gift: $30 or more

Agape Sponsorships 博爱认养

Students living in extreme poverty in rural China cannot afford schooling and have to drop out. The cost of sponsorship each child per month is $30 for elementary students, $45 for middle school students, and $60 for high school students. Sponsors will receive detailed information about the student and his or her family and regular updates. A sponsor can influence the student directly through personal contacts with letters and/or in person visitation.
Suggested Gift: $30 to $60/month

Hearing Aids 助听器
Xiaodong, a hearing-impaired boy, was enrolled in a class for the deaf and mute. With the purchase of a hearing aid, he can now hear and is learning to listen and speak. His life is forever changed. With $400, the Agape Way hearing aids project can have a student tested and fitted with a pair of hearing aids.
Suggested Gift: $400/Child

Teacher Assistance 教师补贴
Many schools in rural China are staffed with substitute teachers who earn only $50 a month. A $50 gift per month will help to supplement a teacher’s monthly salary and help the teacher to take care his or her family.
 Suggested Gift: $50/month

Earthquake-proof House 防震轻钢房

More than 2 million families in the Sichuan earthquake region are homeless. There are two ways that you can help. Donate $5,000 to build a house for a family without any financial resources to build houses. Agape Way will provide detailed information about the family who receives the donation to the donor. Donors can write or even visit that family.
With a gift of $600, a team of three trained volunteers can provide technical expertise and key equipment to a family to rebuild their home. Once it gets started, the family will be able to apply for some government loans. The new homes will adopt advanced earthquake-proof structure and building materials (light steel). It takes only 45 days to build.
Suggested Gift: $600

Mosquito Net 蚊帐
In poor villages where there are no sanitation systems, mosquitoes and bugs are causing health problems. Mosquito nets are the single most effective way to reduce mosquito bites and decrease the spread of diseases. With a gift of $20, you can provide a mosquito net for a student.
Suggested gift: $20
